We turn our patients’ dreams into reality by improving not only the length and shape, but also the function of their arms and legs.
Protruding Fibular Head

High Fibula (fibular head)
The fibula is a bone located on the lateral side of the tibia.
The main ligaments of the knee are connected to the fibular head. The lateral malleolus of the fibula forms the lateral side of the ankle joint.
Sometimes, it appears to protrude more significantly, depending on its shape, size and location.
In such cases, while it is not a functional problem, it may not be cosmetically satisfying to patients.
Cosmetically we can correct high fibula, but there are crucial tendons and a peroneal nerve around the bone. Physicians should be aware of these and treat it with caution.
